Flight Deck Mini is a standalone aviation display that shows you every aircraft flying overhead in real time. Mounted on a wall or shelf, it pulls live ADS-B position data from aircraft transponders and presents it as a clean, always-on dashboard — no app, no phone, no subscription required. Just power it on and it works.
The display shows aircraft sorted by distance, with each card showing the airline livery, callsign, altitude, speed, heading, and distance. Tap any card for a full detail view with route, vertical rate, and flight phase. A built-in history log tracks notable aircraft — military jets, heavy widebodies, fast movers — and a follow-a-flight mode lets you lock onto any specific flight and watch it from departure to arrival.

How It Works
Flight Deck Mini connects to your home WiFi and continuously polls a live ADS-B aggregation network for aircraft position data. Aircraft broadcast their position, altitude, speed, and identity via ADS-B transponders, and this data is picked up by a global network of ground receivers. The device filters this data to show only aircraft within your chosen radius, refreshes automatically, and renders everything directly on the built-in display.
No cloud account, no subscription, and no phone needed — it runs entirely on its own once set up. WiFi setup uses a captive portal — no app required. Supports mesh networks.
Where the data comes from
Aircraft data is provided by adsb.lol, a free and open ADS-B aggregation network fed by thousands of volunteer receivers worldwide. Coverage is global, with best density over Europe and North America. Range from your set location is adjustable up to 250 nautical miles. No API key or account is required — the data is free and open.
