EuroFighter Typhoon Blackjack Tail Fin
LED-lit RAF Typhoon Display Team Blackjack ZJ914 tail fin replica. 3D printed with warm LED backlighting. Free-standing desk display, USB powered.
The most famous fast jet in modern RAF history. “Blackjack” — ZJ914 — was the RAF Typhoon Display Team’s iconic display aircraft, unveiled in May 2021 with a striking black paint scheme embellished with red, white, and blue Union Jack accents. Originally part of 9 Squadron at RAF Lossiemouth where it received its menacing black paint job for the aggressor role, ZJ914 was later transferred to 29(R) Squadron at RAF Coningsby and became the star of the UK airshow circuit.
Over three incredible display seasons, Blackjack was flown by three display pilots — Flt Lt James “Sainty” Sainty, Flt Lt Adam “Paddy” O’Hare, and Flt Lt Matthew “Brighty” Brighty — thrilling crowds at RIAT, Cosford, Duxford, and airshows across the country. Blackjack flew joint displays with the BBMF Lancaster for the 80th anniversary of the Dambusters, took part in the Platinum Jubilee flypast, and became one of the longest-serving display jets in RAF Typhoon history. ZJ914 made its final flight in June 2024 and has since been retired — making this tail fin a genuine tribute to a legendary aircraft.
This handcrafted replica is 3D printed in full colour and fitted with a warm white LED strip that brings the tail fin to life. It stands freely on any flat surface — perfect for a desk, bookshelf, or display cabinet. Powered by a simple USB-A connection, just plug in and enjoy.
